There are certain moments when you can feel that something is changing before you have the words for what it is.
You may feel more emotional than usual. More tired. More contemplative.
Maybe even a little achy, as though your body is processing something your mind hasn’t quite caught up with yet.
If you’ve been feeling this lately, pay attention.
The biggest event of the week sits right at the midpoint: a Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on Wednesday, marking a powerful reset point.
This is the kind of astrology that can move things quickly. It can shift you out of a reality you’ve already outgrown and toward something you couldn’t quite have imagined from where you were standing before.
And with this eclipse happening on the South Node, there is an especially strong theme of release.
Something is leaving.
Something you’ve been slowly becoming less attracted to.
Something you may have already known, somewhere deep inside, that you were finished with.
And in its place?
Something else is beginning to emerge.
You may not be able to see the full shape of it yet.
That’s okay.
You don’t have to.
The part of your chart being activated is where this story becomes personal.
Whatever house Leo rules in your birth chart is the area of life where this eclipse may be asking you to release an old version of yourself and make space for what wants to emerge next.

For me, as a Gemini Rising, this eclipse falls in my 3rd House, the part of the chart associated with the mind, everyday communication, writing, speaking, learning, ideas, siblings, our local environment and, perhaps most importantly here, our voice.
And if you’re curious to go one layer deeper, think back to August 11, 2018, when we experienced a very similar eclipse at almost exactly the same degree.
When I think back to that period of my life, I get chills. It was the summer I handed in my resignation. That decision catapulted me into entrepreneurship, and I never looked back. A fire was lit under me that summer. It was a reconnection to my own self-expression and a promise that I would no longer spend my working life building someone else’s dreams when I knew I was here to build my own.
Looking at that story through the lens of my 3rd House Leo activation now, I can see that the question isn’t simply:
What am I ready to communicate?
It’s:
What am I ready to communicate repeatedly enough that people begin associating the idea with me?
That’s a very different question.
It’s asking me to choose what deserves my voice.
That’s the Leo part.
Because Leo doesn’t just communicate information.
Leo puts a signature on it.
Not to become louder.
To become more unmistakably yourself in what you say.
And that makes me wonder:
What is in your heart now that you’ve been strengthening since 2018?
Maybe for you, this eclipse is bringing attention to your creative work.
Your relationship with yourself.
Children.
Romance.
Attraction.
How willing you are to take risks.
The way you compete.
The relationship you have with visibility.
Or perhaps something much quieter, like the part of you that is finally learning how to feel safe being fully yourself.
Whatever Leo rules in your chart, there is an invitation to notice what has been developing beneath the surface.
Because twenty degrees of Leo falls in the third decan, representing a more mature stage of Leo’s development.
There’s a greater sense of responsibility here.
You know yourself differently now.

This is why I don’t think this eclipse is simply about starting something new.
It’s about becoming conscious of what you actually want to create now.
The Sun and Moon are asking you to be bold enough to acknowledge what your heart genuinely desires.
And with Jupiter and Mercury involved, there is encouragement around putting inspiration into words and words into action.
You may feel pulled toward greater visibility.
More self-expression.
More creative leadership.
A bolder declaration of what you’re here to build.
Which brings me to the question I think sits at the centre of this entire eclipse:
Do you actually see yourself as the person who can hold it?
Can you hold the business?
The ideas?
The visibility?
The responsibility?
The attention?
The possibility?
Can you become the person who can hold the identity of the work you’re here to bring?
Because sometimes the next level isn’t asking for another strategy.
It’s asking whether you’re willing to embody the person who can carry the vision.
And remember: this is a South Node eclipse.
So before something new can fully emerge, there may be something you need to release.
A way of expressing yourself that no longer feels true.
A role you’ve outgrown.
An identity you’ve been performing because it once kept you safe.
A version of success that looked good from the outside but stopped feeling like yours somewhere along the way.
And you may not immediately know what comes next. There could be confusion. A strange limbo. A sense that something has ended without the replacement being obvious yet.
This is where surrender becomes important.
Not surrender as in doing nothing.
Quite the opposite.
Surrender to the work.
Surrender to what comes up.
Surrender to being in motion even when the path isn’t perfectly clear.
You can be surrendered and still be in action. You can test something. Follow a curiosity. Have the conversation. Publish the thing. Try the idea.
See what happens.
You don’t have to know whether it’s the answer.
You can simply follow the thread and see where it leads.
That, to me, is the magic of this eclipse.

Just wonder.
Curiosity.
A willingness to let life participate in the creation of what’s next.
And please, don’t forget the Leo part of all of this.

Let yourself be playful.
Experiment.
Create something simply because you want to.
Take yourself a little less seriously.
Reconnect with the part of you that knew how to make things before you started worrying whether they were good enough.
Because maybe that’s part of what you’re being invited back into.
Not the child you were.
The childlike part of you that still knows how to follow joy.
